As the title says… its been a tough week on the homestead. Bea & Daddy were previously sick and this week was my turn. Just a head cold I think, but in my 3rd trimester I really don’t want to take anything over the counter or otherwise that’s not semi natural. But yes I say bring on the epidural & c-section… please don’t leave any negative comments about my decision on that… thank you! I am though feeling 75% better thank you to my husband and his vitamin teas he has been making me and my super grapefruit/oranges consumption. I also had a night of some crazy Braxton Hicks contractions, I don’t remember those from when I was pregnant with Bea, but boy oh boy – I was a bit concerned and even called my momma for some support. But thankfully there were only about 4 in a little over an hour so no cause to go to the hospital and baby boy was kicking the whole time and I am now feeling back to my normal large and in charge nearly 29 week self!
We really haven’t done much but lazied around, and yesterday cleaned and reorganized Bea’s room to make some special baby play area in prep for her little brothers arrival in July. Today is a great exciting day though, my mom – Bea’s Lola & Lola’s boyfriend, Allan are coming to visit for a little Mothers Day/Weekend homestead celebration! I have the famous (in this household that is) Kielbasa Spinach soup on low on the burner and a beautiful homemade quiche in the oven for tomorrows brunch (better to get it all done early so not to interrupt family time) – may I add my house smells AHHMAZING right now!
Bea is so very excited for their arrival that she refuses to nap so I have sent her outside to pick some wild flowers to make our “Welcoming” porch all ready. Tomorrow we will meet up with my sister, Bea’s Singah, to continue the festivities. Tonight, I am thinking a picnic dinner with our delicious soup and possibly a bonfire followed by some fresh strawberries/ angel food cake & whip cream for desert… yes all the food items are accounted for! ha!
Pictures and a returned dedication to daily blogging promised for next week when I am 100% feeling better!
